About AdVA

Quality education. Closer to every learner.

The Adamawa Virtual Academy brings teaching, practice and family support into one digital learning journey for primary and secondary learners across Adamawa State.

An academy built around learning

AdVA is designed for families across Adamawa State who want purposeful education, clear academic guidance and a consistent learning routine. It combines teacher-led instruction with digital materials that learners can revisit between classes.

Part of Adamawa State SEMS

AdVA is the virtual academy of Adamawa State SEMS, the Smart Education Management System that also connects the state’s schools, records and education statistics. Each Nigerian state on SEMS has its own virtual academy, built around its own learners.

Our educational purpose

Make quality learning more accessible while building the knowledge, confidence and study habits learners need to progress.

  • Build sound foundations in the primary years.
  • Develop understanding and independence through junior secondary education.
  • Strengthen subject knowledge and preparation at senior secondary level.

A school of schools

AdVA is a shared learning environment for learners, teachers, families and participating schools. It follows the Nigerian national curriculum and works alongside schools, the State Ministry of Education and SUBEB; it does not replace them or the examination bodies.

Rooted in Adamawa’s learning needs

Families have different devices, connections and study environments. AdVA recognises these realities through scheduled teaching, flexible study and practical learner support. Community learning access points form part of the longer-term vision.

Our commitments

  • Safeguarding first: age-appropriate participation, supervised live classes and clear reporting routes.
  • Responsible use of learner information under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
  • Honest information: classes, fees and admission arrangements are published before enrolment opens.
  • Open to every participating school, public or private.
